If anyone is looking for 300 BLK brass, Rookie{OMC} has a setup for converting 223 cases that works great. He did an ammo can worth for me and they turned out excellent.
Price?
Mixed headstamps?
Is he forming them or just cutting the shoulder off so they are ready to go through the press?
I have 700 brass formed and primed but more is always better![]()
Why is everyone so impressed with 2-4MOA groups at 50 yards?
Am I missing something here?

10.8gr of AA1680 with 220gr SMK - cycles and locks the bolt open.
LMT 16" MRP barrel...
I also found old 20 round Colt mags work the best with the heavy subsonics...
I wil try some diff mags to see if it locks open the bolt.
In my rifle with 9.75" barrel the minimum charge that will lock the bolt back is 12gr og AA1680 pushing the Hornady 208gr match. maybe try a ladder increasing powder till you get it to cycle and lock then start there with your ladder for accuracy. Every gun will be slightly different so it's very possible you just haven't found your minimum charge yet. I doubt it's a mag issue.
Lucky you guys still get to play with the 300blk. I went to install a rail on mine and found the barrel nut has been so over torqued that i cracked the upper trying to loosen it. My Upper is now on its was to Core15 for repair........ Efffffff

I tried 11.5gn and still no lock back, i wanted to keep it subsonic.
I also tried some 150gn and 168gn with A1680, both (super) locked back on last round.
Did you chrony them? How do you know they won't still be subsonic? Keep going till you get it to cycle and lock back and take your chrony with you. Are you going to sacrifice reliable loads just to keep it subsonic?
I don't know how a different mag is going to stop it from short stroking, needs more powder.
I use LiL'Gun for my 150-170gr bullets.
I'll take my chrony with me next time I go testing and will report back what velocity I'm getting with mine.
And THAT is why it is important to use the correct work holding when working on these rifles. An aluminum receiver is all too easy to bend or break inadvertently.
