SA M1A stock on Norinco M14/305

Want to know if any of you guys have any issues using SA M1A plastic stock on your Norc.
Do you have to do anything to fit it properly?

Might not fit where the right hand "rail" of the M305 receiver (surface beneath the op rod channel) sits on the top of the stock. Would need some trimming to allow it to sit flat. The Norinco for some reason doesn't sit flat and the M1A stock needs relieving slightly for fit. At least that's what I've found with the Boyds M1A stocks.

Do a search for ProMag Archangel stock , lots of good info on fitting your action to the stock to be found !

Is the issue that you are hesitant to alter the stock? Or is that you aren't sure how to go about it?

Dremel is the key of the success.....

I love mine, but yes, it did require some fitting. This isn't a big deal if you've ever used a file before. Not only did I have to fit the receiver area for a Norinco, which has a slightly longer wing on the right side, but the mag well and oprod needed work too. Hours of careful work, but way better in the end then the original Norc plastic stock. I would never go back.

Both, but after few minutes with Dremel, it's all good now.
