I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it in person. A local dealer was able to track down a 1892 stainless steel Chiappa with a 20" brl in .357 mag/.38

It's not listed on their site and to be honest, I thought it would come in stamped with a different manufacturer/distributors name...

Here's the kicker, I don't have pictures uploaded yet! I'll get some up later today/tomorrow for your viewing pleasure. It's pretty.

Sorry for the delay, came down with an awful bug which kept me off my feet. Back and good to go!

I'm pretty sure it's hard-chrome, as you said, Chiappa doesn't list stainless... but they do Hard Chrome (which looks exactly like the pic you've posted).
Cheers~

That is a slick looking rifle, and a SRC to boot, nice score! What dealer found that for you?
She's slick indeed. Beyond smooth!
Found it through a guy outside of Yarmouth, NS. He's got a small shop but has access to all kinds of goodies! He had access to 5 Walther PPQs- which I haven't found in stock anywhere else. It's hard to keep saying no!

Ah that could be it. Ill take a picture of the box, it says stainless steel. But hard-chrome would explain a lot!

How many .38 does that thing hold?
Not sure about .38s -yet. Maybe 1 more than 357 which holds 10+1.

from Chiappa's website:
"All Model 1892s are available with fine hand engravings accented with gold inletting, or in the hard chrome finish that looks great as it resists the rigors of wear and harsh elements."

I have the Chiappa mod 92 trapper in 357 mag
Shot two boxes of PMC 357 mag and its great, however yesterday I tried 38 special and it didn't like it very much
