Hi all - What are my options for mounting an M4-style buttstock on an CZ858/VZ58 receiver? I do not want a folder, but I do want the adjustable LOP.

Using stock iron sights, any concerns with comb height? If I go to a red-dot in the future, any solutions for comb height?

Thanks in advance!

FAB Defense GLRS-16 (I think) I run it on my 858 no issue whatsoever, great piece of kit. Exactly what you are looking for.

We have both folder and tube for sale at corwin-arms.com

The folder can be used as a folder and just as a tube by itself or you can just buy tube stock by itself for $78 with all mounting hardwear included

I use the Fab Defense with shock absorber, from Zahal, with a swapped out Magpul butt-stock.

That looks like exactly what I want, but when I looked it up, it says it's an AR15 stock. So I'd need one of the adapters, is that right?

If that's the case, then which adapter, and how well does it work for a cheek weld with stock irons and/or typical 1X optics?

Its almost as if you didn't even look, a simple search in google got me these results in mere seconds from site sponsors :

You're right, I didn't. I knew from prior experience that the mighty CGN is much smarter than five minutes or even five hours of my best Google-fu.

Three interesting options that you identify, thanks. Do you have experience with any of them? How well do they work? That "multiheight" option at CanAm looks good, but are the heights actually useful?

Shock absorbers make me feel less manly, so that's out. :)

But is that the CTR stock? And the Fab Defense tube is "commercial", not mil-spec, right? (I don't see a problem with that)

$78 and it is all aluminium not polymer

Interesting. Who did you get to make these? So this "buffer tube" attaches directly to the receiver, no adapter required, right? Can you comment on the final position of the tube in comparison to how it would wind up if you used one of the adapters? I'd guess that it would be slightly shorter overall, because the adapter must add some length. How about the vertical position?

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions!

I don't have experience with them unfortunately. I just searched it ;)

This is six position fixed stock tube. It attaches directly to the rifle with original fixed stock screw with spacer (All included). Includes polymer tube plug. Machined of high strength aluminum. Hard anodized finish. This stock tube is compatible with commercial-spec stocks. It attaches at the same angle as original factory stock. If you would like to make it straight to the receiver please choose the stock with the folding mechanism, it is the same stock except you can add folding mechanism or remove if you would like the factory angle
Length 175mm, weight 175g. Fully extended average M 4 butt stock with this tube is 285mm long.

You can buy the adapter with M4 tube for $192.00 adapter by itself will be in the store in the evening $110

Would love to see a VZ with folding mechanism and M4 style stock. :)

When you say proper length, do you mean the same length as a stock VZ buttstock?
