Just checking to see if anyone on the boards has put a Tikka tactical in a Cadex Strike Series Chassis? If so would you mind sharing your experience? and opinion on the setup? T3 Tac in a cadex chassis might be a economical replacement to the sako factory folder and be a better looking setup.

What are you writing about? Cadex does not man. A stock for the tikka t3 and the stocks they do man. are not what many would consider to be economical. They do man. A stock for the trig, maybe that's what you meant? Sako also does not man. a factory folder for the t3.

Check out Roedale Precision, they make an Accuracy International stock fit for Tikka T3's and a few others, with the Viper Skins side panels. You can get a side folding hinge for their stocks to make it a side folder, but you're probably looking into the 1500 dollar range once imports and shipping has all been calculated in. Of course compared to the CADEX chassis still an economical choice and a great chassis stock.
I don't think the T3 action and the TRG-22 action are interchangeable, last time I had my hands on a '22 it looked substancially more 'beefy' than my Tikka T3 Tactical is.

Sell the dame Tikka T3, and get yourself a Rem700 so you can have the Cadex stock if U wish to spend that kind of Money, or just buy a Sako TRG and be happy about it.
To make The T3 to fit Sako TRG22 would require a lot of work!, Also make T3 to fit the Cadex would require alot of work.

FWIW the Tikka Tac drops into a TRG stock just fine no work required. it fits. Just asking if anyone has one in Cadex? Sounds like no-one does.
A sako TRG with a factory folder runs over $6K. a Tikka Tac in a Cadex will run under $4k, the difference in performance will be trigger pull and bolt lift. with good trigger control accuracy will be the same.

Bull #### it does. You can bolt a trg trigger on a t3 action and you can bolt trg furniture onto a krg t3 backbone. A t3 will not go into a trg 22 or 42 chassis back bone. fwiw, You best do some more homework, I own 6 t3's and two 22's, I can send you pics that you are incorrect. Gun boy would also know as he owns multiples of each and is also a machinist and tinkers with the platform

Where did you read this? Love to see the link, definitely erroneous information. At present, I'm not aware of a chassis that will work in your application......maybe Xlr? The krg will not work for you, roe dale has been keeping customers money and not shipping product.
Kinetic Research GRoup had produce a stock look similar to the sako TRg, that fit the Tikka T3, but they are not interchange, how ever they do make another stock for the Sako M995, these stock mount on to the action totally different than the SAKO TRG22/42 system, anyway if you can get one into the country, it will work, if you want to go rodael and Manners it will work also.
would love to see a picture of the bottom end of the Tikka Tac receiver beside a Sako TRG receiver. both either short or both long actions. Gunboy, KRG does not make a stock for the Tikka Tac long action, only the short action.....non-magnum. The Tikka has two action screws the TRG has three. I thought the two on the Tikka fit into two of the three TRG screw holes. The screw sizes are the same, TRG tang screw comes in from the top, tikka from the bottom. If the font action screw from the Tikka lines up with the TRG front action screw, then I can't see why the Tikka won't fit a trg stock, as the external dimensions of the actions are the same.

Tikka T3 actions are all the same size
And its due to this that stock makers generally dont produce bottom metal or chassis systems for the "Long action calibres" in Tikkas, because the AICS long action magazine and mag release need to come back too far and will impede on the trigger guard/space between the trigger and front of the guard.
Roedale and CDS Precision are the only two stock/bottom metal makers ive come across to get it working safely, however all of the other manufacturers ive talked to they say that not enough material is left for their liking between the action screws and the magazine cut out. And as the Tikka recoil lug setup leaves a lot to be desired, they didnt feel safe in producing one for the long action calibres.
