Does anyone know whether or not the prices for a Beretta A400 Xplor at Prophet river had just recently gone up or not? I thought they were previously $1699, a $100 less than the extreme models.

Not sure if they have gone up, but most retailers overprice the Beretta autoloaders, the only place I would buy one is at Lebaron, since they go on sale for about 1200$
I've noticed that Prophet River prices their autoloaders similar to everyone else, but they have great prices on O/U guns.

I called up and spoke with a young woman but she wasn't quite sure. I've spoke with Clay in the past and agree that he is always straight up. "Salt of the earth" type guy.

I enjoy the past, it's so much nicer then the present. But after spending an hour or so surfing websites, Clay's prices are the same as everyone else's, in some cases even less.
LeBaron didn't remove the old advertisement for the A400s they had for 1150$.

Not sure about that particular example, but in general I find most everything at Prophet River to be overpriced by about $50.

Don't get me started on the used/consignment stuff......

Total opposite on anything I have bought there and that is more guns than I have fingers and toes in the past few years. Bought five 28ga alone from him and probally No. 6 when those new 28ga semi's come in
Last one he was 200 less to my door on 1200 vs other site sponsors here and that had to be special ordered.
I refuse to buy from the likes of lebaron after some of the issues experienced over the years. All is good until you get one that doesn't work the 50 saved is useless then and one will wish they were dealing with Clay. Seriously what is 50 bucks on a new gun and I am sure if you have cash in hand Clay would work a deal if it is an issue to some. To me it is not worth giving the business to a big box store for . To each their own

I have purchased 10 Cooper rifles,4 Citori shotguns,a Sako , a CZ, and a few used rifles from Clay, as well as a Freedom Arms handgun, and several scopes. In every case, the price was competitive, and the service was first rate.

It's hard to beat the quality service from the folks at Prophet River.

:agree: I ordered a Citori Lightning from Prophet River last Labor Day, and Clay responded to all my emails regarding that firearm, even on a Holiday, very dedicated to making sure his customers get the best service around. Top notch

I have bought a shotgun from Clay. Price was very good, service excellent. I also imported some fine guns through PR. ONce again, excellent service. I would never use anyone else for importing.

Lebaron is schit for customer service, and I've been down that road for the last time. I've spent over $20k there, but it doesn't mean anything to them, the ignorance is still there. I dont care if they are cheaper or not, Clay could teach them a thing or ten.

If $50 is a deal breaker then go to lebaron and hope you don't need service...

I've bought a shotgun and 3 rifles from Clay. Service has always been fantastic. I bought my first shotgun from Clay while sitting in his family room. I'll buy some more from Clay.

I like good prices, and the prices that Clay has charged me were very good, but when it comes right down to it, the customer service is what keeps me coming back. On the other end of the scale, a certain importer/dealer in Southern Alberta, that specializes in shotguns, will never see another dollar of mine, no matter what he charges, after the crap that he pulled on a good friend of mine.
