Man am I sick of people trying to sell used guns for more than a brand new in the box with warranty gun... the add below is a 50% mark-up over a brand new gun... he says that he had a "gunsmith" install the scope base and hammer extension... three screws and a set screw for an extra $150... I'm gonna be all over this one.

don't buy it, don't ##### about it to the rest of the world, do not polute the forum with unecessary threads, and your day will be brighter.

If the price is too high people won't buy, if they wont buy it wont get sold, if it doesn't sell the seller will lower the price.

none of this requires a post b###ing about it, IBTL.

not surprised at all!!! guys do this all the time... why, i have no idea. If you buy a gun and take it home and never fire it, then a year later decide to sell it, it is not worth retail prices!! why?? because gun manufacturers come out with a new model every year. Computers are a good example of this logic. Computers that are a year old are not worth the same as a new one, because the technology has changed. guns are similar. Fired 100 rounds through it, does not mean it is worth retail prices!!! this is not hard to figure out, but sadly to many people seem to think otherwise. Another example would be that Guns are like cars, they depreciate!!! hate to burst the bubble on this one but its true.

Guess I should be paying $50 for a Colt SAA then...

How about I post a thread about "the best bear defense gun"... or the "best all-round hunting caliber"... or "Is my .30/30 enough gun for deer?" CGN is a shooting sports community... there is nothing "community oriented" about ripping-off other shooters...

Sure I could ignore it like the hundred before it... but at some point somebody should say something...

Supply and demand is always in play... but I gotta think that these people are doing their best to prey on newbies who have not done their homework. It ain't right.

I look at guns the same way as cars. A new car value drops 20% as soon as you sign the papers. I wouldn't pay more than 80% of retail for a gun unless I'm buying it brand new from a store.

Free market. Sometimes people get good deals, sometimes people pay more then they should have. Its the way of the world, always has been. don't think you're going to change it by making a thread on a forum. Move on, worry about more important #### FFS. I say again, your day will be brighter.
