Whats the story on the 9.3X62 in Canada?

MedvedQC You may not remember but you contacted me pror to getting yoyr LH 9.3x 64 and god's caliber the 270. You seem pleased as I am with mine. I tried to get Tonf to order sme M85' in 7.62x39 222 and 223 Primarily in LH. He doesn't think there is enough demand for these rifles for a large order Maybe if others expressed interest in the same models he might see the light. I had a CZ 7.62x39 cabine that i loved But didn't like the protruding magazine or the RH action.I would take at least one in &.62x39 and another 223 if they were available.
Some full stocks would be nice as would the oportuity fot a lh 6.5x57, 7x57 or 458 all in lh.
Ps with my 9.3 I shorten the lop trimmed off the rollover so others can try it out. For me the comb is the pefect height for use with low bases and the Leupold 1.75x6 but not so good for the open sights. can't remember the last time i used open sights because of a scope failure.

So, is it still a Husky??

Just got my 9.3mm back from the smithy's, & thought I would take the opportunity to brag a little.

Barrel & action are original Husqvarna, scope is a Leupold M8 4x. Griffin & Howe mounts, Beuhler safety, Blackburn bottom metal.

Wood is actually much darker than what it appears in the photos, closer to what you see in this one:

P.S. It gained a little weight in the process: originally, with the beechwood stock it was a nice trim 7 1/2 lbs. With the new wood, scope mounts & bottom metal, it now tips the scales at 9 lbs even with scope, but empty, 8 lbs with the scope removed.

Speaking of new stocks, I somehow missed this. Gorgeous outfit!

Who did the stock work, 9.3? Looks like it may have been Bates.
Ted

The stock was made by a fellow in Texas. I acquired it when he sold a bunch of stuff off after he retired. Ed Von Atzigen in Peterborough fitted the barreled action, the G&H mounts and the bottom metal.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it since all the modifications. Maybe this weekend. Load work is next.

That's awfully purty 9.3!

If anyone is looking for a SHR 9.3x62 there is one over on Alberta Outdoorsman for sale. Not sure what they are worth so not sure if it's a good or reasonable deal. I think the guy was asking $1100?

Cheezie...you're alive! I thought that your pad-less 9.3 knocked you into a coma or something!

Life is extremely busy right now and I haven't had a chance to get out to shoot the 9.3 again. I do have some Norma brass coming for it, picked up dies and a few Speer bullets. I try and sneak in here for a couple minutes from time to time, things will ease up once July rolls around. Surprised anyone noticed I was gone! :)
