I just bought a BL-22. I love it, What a beautiful little rifle. I like it so much that I hate to put a scope on it but my eyes are not what they used to be. What would be a nice really compact scope that would work for me yet not be expensive? I tried a Bushnell 3-9 x 40 and it looked way too big and too long. Those FITCO scopes look small but I don`t know anything about them. If someone can give me some ideas, then I can google and may find what`s best for me.
Thanks,G

Leupold 1-4 or even fixed 2x's with the 20mm objective if u wanna spend some money.

Will look right at home, and is a hell of a scope.

The VX1 or vx2 1-4 x 20 shotgun will be the cheapest and have the parralax set at a better distance for rimfire plinkin.

I put a 4x Leupold rimfire on the wifes BL-22. The 2-7x28 rimfire Leupold is also a very nice scope for the ageing eyes. If you want a picture of the install, pm me your email.

You also have very litle to work with for mounting, i find mine is to close to my eye.
A nice 1-4X variable or a fixed 4X would be my choice or a red dot if you don't want the magnification.

I appreciate the answer but it doesn`t do much for answering the actual question which was " What would be a nice really compact scope that would work for me yet not be expensive?"
There are a lot of people like myself whose eyes sorta get old or worn and are no longer at 100% yet they still like to shoot. Fixing our eyes is not always an option so I guess a scope that works for me and looks good on the rifle is the next best thing, Hence the question.
BTW, What do you have on your Brownings?
I would also like to apologize if I seem rude and thank everyone for all the ideas and answers. Happy shooting and may your eyes last forever

He was referring to cheap/garbage(in his opinion obviously) optics, on such a nice gun.

I somewhat agree, and think such a nice gun deserves a nice scope.

Look at the leupold 1-4x20 scopes. They will fit perfectly and look perfect on that little compact rifle.

What's your budget Gerard?
Used Leupold 1-4X's pop up on the EE and are a good buy because of their lifetime transferable warranty. Recently Leupold Canada has made some changes and if the newer scopes were not imported by Leupold Canada they might not service them plus their are some knockoff's out there but I don't think they are the 1-4X scopes.
I've bought 1-4X leupolds for around $200 shipped on the EE which I think is a good buy.
If your eyes are bad and possibly getting worse you should research the best glass you can afford as it does make a difference.
