Is anyone else lusting after this bad boy? (The rifle, not Tom).

After some rudimentary googling, looks like its a dressed up ACR. I'm a huge sci-fi movie nerd and have an immediate desire for any of the chunky variety of firearms displayed therein (M41A yes please).

We need a manufacturer that specializes in purely aesthetic stock mods. :D
 
Looks like they used a small 5-10 round mag in there too... Maybe pretend it's a battery pack or some form of futuristic ammo....

The Magpul Masada is the PREDECESSOR of the Bushmaster ACR. Magpul sold the manufacturing rights (or what-not) to Bushmaster. There it got relabelled the ACR. And since Bushmaster is owned by Remington, Remington makes a military version of the Bushmaster ACR: The Remington ACR (last time I checked, the mil ver. had a 5-sided modular handguard.) And from my understanding (I'll have to go double check) you can get both the Masada AND the ACR as airsoft guns.

BTW I noticed it was an ACR while watching the movie. And the MS3 sling, and the MP5K (as a full length rifle), the AK, the UMP, the M82, the M2s, etc, etc. Have you ever checked out IMFDB, the Internet Movie Firearm DataBase?

I think it looks interesting. I'm just suprised the poster is not like every other hollywood douche with his finger on the trigger. And yes, Cruise is a douche. :)
