Non restricted black rifles

Travis sorry did you say ar180 was non restricted? Any sites have them for sale?

They no longer produce them which is the sad part.

You can find them on the Equipment Exchange here on CGN but they go for around $1500 in stock condition.

I believe there is one on there right now at the moment actually for sale.

They haven't made them in over a decade, so spare parts are scarce. Spare barrels are non existent. They are great rifles in my opinion. Not worth the price they currently go for in Canada at all in my opinion but this is the market we live in eh? You pay a lot more for the Non Restricted status and the fact that they don't make them anymore :( lol

Kel Tec SU16 Sir:

It might be right up your alley. It's like a hunting rifle sneaked out of the gun locker at night to have ### with an AR15/AR180 and had a bastard child lol

It may be what you're looking for. I would say handle one first before you commit though as they are made from almost entirely plastic.

Lol ya see that will kill me. I handled the mossberg once and wanted to take out a lighter and melt it. All plastic junk for my standards. All my buddies call me Hollywood hunter. If it doesn't look good and feel good I don't want it. I wish I had more stores to go into. I'm southern ontario. Only shops I know of besides the hunting stores is precision arms in king and silver dale shooting range. Does epps carry the black rifles?

Holy $hit guys enough ok I'm sorry I used the wrong word. Tactical rifle. I didn't realize assault meant something so specific. No not automatic and no 30 round clips. I said I recently shot a non restricted cz so you knew what I meant. My assumption all the military style guns were called assault. I'm sorry. I'm looking for a list of non resticted tactical rifles. Please enough

Oh right, because the word ASSAULT really doesn't mean anything specific and can be used to describe many different things

What other objects in your life do you define with that word?

f:P:

I don't get it? Why is everyone so wowed? Is sporting rifle a better word? Whatever you call it I like the military look. Sorry for the choice of words.
Because this forum tends to be a convergence points of anti' journalist trying to find "loopholes" in the Canadian laws to make gun owner look as baby killers and demonize us. Thus every recent account with low post count attract attention to itself. Nothing personal.

So basically the difference between restricted and non restricted is no use of plastic and pure awesomeness. Every nice one I find is restricted. Then the non restricted is this plastic ugly thing which I'm pretty sure toys r us has better looking guns.

I didn't realize that actually happens. I'm a hunter who shoots and hunts on my own property. I live in a area surrounded by horse farmers who don't respect my right to hunt. I regularly have to explain to them that no the steak you ate is not a product made in a factory rather a animal that also died. There as surprised as I was about assault lol

Dude just stop.

take a deep breath.

Now, if you really wanted to know the difference between restricted and non-restricted, you'd take a second to read the Firearms Act. Its not rocket science, is easy to understand, and you'd actually do the whole firearms community and yourself a favor by not being completely ignorant on the matter. I'm all for you coming here and asking questions, thats more than fine, but you gotta meet us half way. Please.

30 round clips

Sorry if this has been harped on (Again, and again, and again, and again...) but LEARN THE FREAKIN' DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAG AND A CLIP!!!! SKS' and M1 Garands, etc use clips. Mini 14s, M305s, AR-15 (THERE ARE NO MORE M16s/M4s IN CANADA. If you don't already own one) Classsic greens, XCRs, ACRs, etc use mags.

Rant over. Sorry, I'm still learning here too. I just have decided to suffer the 'restricted' oppression for my first (at least) black rifle.

Ill speak your language

Dude... The above statement was pure sarcasm. I didn't actually believe metal was restricted and plastic was non. I was just expressing my frustration with all the nice guns being restricted.

Exhale

Sorry again what's the deal with the mini 14
It is the rifle used in the Polytechnic massacre in Quebec, but as you mentioned, it has is still non-restricted. if the classical "sporter" stock is not bad-ass enough, it should be possible to change it to an aftermarket stock (Archangel or ATI). It does (should ?) not affect its classification, as long as it still fit the non-restricted OAL requirements.

Lol I've had enough. I'm going to sleep. I've now been criticized on language 4 times. This forum all English teachers? Holy $hit! Just answer what I'm asking. If you don't want to go to another thread. Honestly enough of the smart asses.

A 18 wheeler started the 100 car pile up on 401 15 years ago. Something like 80 people died. We should ban 18 wheelers, only a lunatic would own one.

Please don't, you can just ignore these message, they are not worth taking them so seriously. All the RTFM and STFU I've been reading so far have been pretty rude, but do not reflect the whole community :)

We all understand your pain and frustration... I'd love to be able to hunt with an AR-15 :-(

Ya for me it's just for shooting on the farm. Perhaps varmint hunting. My problem with getting a restricted license and then being able to choose from a variety of guns. I can't shoot it unless I drive two hours to nearest legal range. Realistically ill never go and the gun will sit.

Xora. I realize your in quebec but any good sites that have a good selection of guns? This way I can at least see models, prices etc. then start googling.

FYI I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but a newbie coming on here and first post is full of "assault rifles, mini 14, military weapons, how easy is it to get one" etc etc Starts getting some of the more paranoid members flinching for the "troll" button.

It reminds me of the experiment that was done with monkeys.
At first the group was all fine, no problems.
Then they were given electric shocks.
Although the shocks came from an external source, the monkeys started attacking each other, out of frustration.
So when someone new shows up and asks a simple question, and the monkey poo starts flying, I figure its because the gun-grabbers have got them all fooked up.
