ya good metal??? da explain good metal? and plz what kind is the norinco made of? what kinda mill spec are reading? and where is the proof?

I think he is referring to the forged steel frame the norinco has instead of cast. Not that cast is inferior to forged, but some are.

hey thks .. but i referring to the actual material the gun is made of. not whether its cast or not.. and where is that information so any body can see it! i need to see the proof.. especially before i do any thing like modify

this doesnt mean anything.. it just state someone opion ,, similiar to yours,,
Where does the factory show the steel quality " it does not, it's a guess" and the only way to actual test the norinco is to use an metal analyzer use in steel non destructive testing.. i dont have access to this tool.. do you ? just saying i dont believe everything on the internet

I think the Norinco is made of 5100 steel. Which is good. It can also be hard to machine.
And casting can be inferior so you should be concerned about that. Think of the crank in your truck. Nobody wants a cast when they can have a forged crank.

Norinco guns are made out of steel. Do *not* underestimate the method used to make a firearm. It is an important part of the whole process. Just like some people say the Glock is a gun made out of "plastic", and thus can't be trusted. Sure, it's got a bit of plastic. Now, in what manner is that plastic used on the gun? Makes the whole difference between a Glock and an airsoft.

as a matter 5100 series is good steel. did you know that in its annealed state it cant be readily machine formed? maybe not! the American steel handbook for analysis and hardening explain this well.. However the point here is "DOES norinco use it ?" and how is it proven?

BTW cranks are not the correct answer ask sheldon ,:)) hehe

In my secret underground labratory I have tested it and it is indeed AISI 5100 series steel. Indeed.

You can now sleep easy. Your welcome.
