Hey guys. I've had a bunch of these boxes of old .22 LR ammo for awhile and am just curious as to what these boxes are roughly worth.
All rounds are there in every box- some look a little gummy but otherwise alright. Only have 1 box of the Whiz Bang, but have 11 each of the
Super Clean and the Imperial.

Thanks,
zip

It was the golden age. I remember Whiz-Bang , what a name , at .25 cents for .22 shorts, I also remember my first Summer job at 5. $5.00 a day for a 10 hr. day. These were also pre Allan Rockhead times.

I doubt if there's a 40+ year old man on this forum who doesn't get the warm and fuzzies when he picks up a box of Whiz Bangs...:)

How True!!! I remember buying 22 rounds for: shorts/29 cents; longs/39 cents and Long rifles/49 cents.
Also remember "Central V's", BB caps, Remington Hi-Speed, Gevelot, etc.

I used to just love the smell of burned CIL rimfire powders.
Regards, Eagleye.

If any of you guys have a full or empty box of Eatonia 22 I would be interested in buying it to go with a Eatonia Cooey I bought from Gannons several years ago for $25 that they where going to scrape and as rough as it looks it shoots like a dream!Thanks--Dieseldog!

Anywho, to the OP, shoot 'em and keep the boxes

Ayup. The boxes in good shape are worth as much empty as full.

But check out the cartridge collectors at the next decent sized gun show you go to. And keep in mind that if the guy is buying them to resell, he needs to make a buck too.

Cheers
Trev
