CZ-858 Recoil reducing stock = bad news. +video

Every one please note, I am not saying that all the recoil stocks are flops, just mine.

DaSigntist- Mine is 7.62x39. I am curious if your shorter barrel may be helping you, as I assume not all the powder is being burnt each shot and thus has less FPS behind each shot causing the bolt to not slam back at the same force as a non-restricted CZ? Just a thought. Your rifle looks sweet btw.

Yes PressPass. That is one instance of that issue. I removed alot of them as I couldn't bare to watch it anymore. 90% of the time when it happened the bolt was only have closed just sitting there, or just pull back slightly while just slightly removing the mag, release bolt, then lock mag back in place. The last 10 seconds or so of the video (after the music stops) is the issue happening multiple times on one mag. Give me an hour and I will render and upload some of the FTF footage.

Hmm...being a 7.62x39 (scratching head) and functions great with a fixed stock?

Great video , loved the music choice !
I love shooting my CZ now that I put a brake on it for recoil . I'm also thinking of one of those packages from Zahals for the furniture and stock . I don't need any more reduction of recoil now , but their packages are a heck of a good deal , so I'll probably get one .

Hey Dagmaar, what brake are you using? I am in the market for one.

The Crusader . Works just dandy ! Takes enough recoil away for my gimpy shoulder and makes the gun unholy loud to boot . I got it at , I think shooters edge . The one in Calgary on heritage dr ...is that shooters edge ? Yup , pretty sure that's the name of the place . Great place BTW . It was about $50 and threads on easy peasy .

recoil reducing stocks are for pussies. Get rid of it. you look like a man hard enough for the recoil ;)

lol well thanks Avocado. However I didn't require the stock it just came in the package and it looks better and more functional (adjustable LOP) and I liked the lightweight attribute of the polymer as it seems strong enough to hold up.

So did you shoot it afterward with a non recoil reducing stock? That's the only way to prove that it is the recoil reducing stock that is the cause of the issue. Otherwise, I don't know how you can conclude that the stock is at fault.

I shot it plenty before installing the stock this winter. Never had any feed issues before. Plus if I held the rifle tight against my self, thus making the recoil reduction feature moot, I had no issues.

It's not shooting before that matters though, it's shooting after with a fixed stock that will prove your diagnosis. From the video I see it happening randomly which may or may not be mitigated by holding the rifle tightly to yourself.

Well thanks for your analysis, its appreciated. I do know it is the stock that is causing my short-stroking issue and it will be corrected.
