I like that the magpul has the flip up sight, and all honesty, I don't mind polymer vs metal. I also prefer using the small aperture compared to the large one.

Anyone have any thoughts on either of these two sights?

Troy all day long, the magpul MBUS aren't bad but I don't like the chunky aperatures. I'm running the troy DOA rear flip up with an M4 front. I couldn't go back to using a round aperature if I have the choice after using the DOA, the DOA keeps my rifle sights much more squared and level.

Well, I need rear sights with .500 max height. I would order Troy - but someone mentioned there is play in some units. I don't want to pay top dollar only to receive a subpar set.

I need this for my XCR (low profile to fit under QD mounted scope).

The problem with Troy battlesights is that the used-market is flooded with knockoffs that look authentic but work like crap. Maybe "flooded' is too strong of a word, but they're out there. An authentic set would be rock solid, no play. If in doubt, buy from a dealer.

As if there are any less fake ... oops I mean airsoft Magpul stuff out there?
