Are you saying there's a break in period required because it was jamming on you? Or are you saying the pistol is really tight to the point of being hard to manipulate the slide?

Perhaps I'll weaken then. But NOT NOW!!

Mine was shipped on the 15th and they are saying delivery on the 23rd. so another 48 hours max to the rock( truck going on ferry) so 10 ish days and guys have been getting them a day or 2 early!

Was thinking about ordering another for the g/f but after 22 days since I've paid and still no email or update I think I'll wait for another deal.

Pretty patient guy but three weeks with my money and no update is just sad they had to expect this way before this sale and could have dealt with this a lot better.

Mine was updated to processed & payment taken from CC .
That was 8 days ago & the transfer has still not even been started .
I'm not complaining because I knew when I put my order in they are extremely slow at the best of times .
With all these orders coming in at once it will even be worse .
 
When I got mine all cleaned up I noticed a weird checking in the one side of the slide. It's just a discolouration and it is in a checkered pattern. The only way to fix this is order another package.
 
So I decided to tear one of my 1911s apart and tune it up a bit.

Polished up all the internals and buffed the rough edges off the trigger componants. Trigger pull is much better now! little to no take up, smooth as glass and breaks crisp and clean. Still a bit heavy, about 6#. But very manageable now.

I also went through my misc. parts bin....... I have a set of Pacmyers (sp?) I am going to run on it for now, but these grips are nice rubber with a steel insert that came off another Nork I own....

Just got back from my first range outing with it. I'm happy to report no failures at all. The only thing I'll do to this one is change out the sights(it shoots a little high as is) and try to lighten up the trigger. This is probably the best money I've spent on a gun in a while. Can't wait to see how the second one is!
 
CANAM, I realize this is the bargain bin but I hear a lot of them have cracked grips. Do we get replacement grips if we get one with cracked grips? I only ordered on the 7th of May so I've got more waiting to do, lol, and am fighting the urge to order a second, how many left on the pallet?

That beeing said, they look like flimsy plastic grips that no one will keep on the gun anyway. I will replace them by a set of hogue i called from brownells for 11.99$
