A few years ago I was pretty much treated like a criminal in a CT in the GTA when I was looking for a gun case. Worst shopping experience ever. Sales staff avoided me after I asked. Completely shunned. Not like that in Saskatchewan :)

Damn. Calgary needs to follow suit.

I noticed a one more Canadian tire near my house started to stock ammo so that's a start the one that actually has firearms is about forty minutes from me

I personally can't stand the Tavor's looks but to each their own and BRAVO to CT for going the extra mile with stocking the exotic. The best that I've seen out this way is a JR at the Stratford store. BTW great folks running that store too. I drive the hour or so just to shop there (sometimes not for shooting stuff) even though I have about 8 CT stores around me in town.......none with guns yet.
 
I actually didn't think much of the Tavor's looks either until I got to shoot one recently. Their uniqueness kind of grows on you after that, and being NR makes them even more appealing.
 
Because of the OP, I headed this morning at opening to a brand NEW CT, 4 clicks from my home. All they had was AirSoft. And less 308 ammo than I have in one of my cans at home. Booooooo.
