So I went to the range few weeks ago with the crony and tried out some of my Norinco surplus ammo, anyways here are some of the results. On a side note, the rfb would not cycle the surplus ammo at all unless I had a thin film of oil on the brass, then it ran perfect.

I have been very impressed with both the 7.62 and the 5.56. The 7.62 shoots very accurately out of my m14's. I have been loading the norinco 5.56 brass for years and it is holding up well. Need to buy some more of that stuff!

I put a bunch of the 7.62x51 through my M-305 (22" barrel) a couple of weeks ago. It averaged 2799 fps through the 22" barrel.

2" - 3" groups at 100 meters

Goble's Firearms in Tillsonburg or London Ontario have crates (1600 rds) of Norinco .223 for $419... Not sure if they'll ship it, though. I tested it and appears to be non-corrosive as advertised. It's spam can, paper wrapped 40 round bundles. Brass cased, lead core.

Prairie Gun Traders have pretty high shipping prices. Expect to pay like $50 for shipping. If you buy it from BC for $400 you'll save $50 on price plus 5% PST with probably equal shipping.

My thinking was along the lines that someone in Regina could simply pop out to Avonlea and pick a couple of crates up. Cheaper "shipping". Saskcop and others may be in or around that locale. :)

Shipping to Cowtown from Reliable was estimated to be $40, so shipping from B.C. to SK will obviously be higher than that.
