Hi All
Any one have any experience with the the wilson combat group gripper for the 1911? I know If will lock the barrel and slide up tighter it should be more accurate. Any thought?
Thanks

In theory this may work, although my belief is that if your barrel is not locking up fully, it's a barrel-slide fitment issue, not a spring issue.

I'm also inclined to point out that the Wilson Supergrades, which typically shoot more accurately that most hunting RIFLES, don't include one. Draw whatever conclusions you like from that...

I've been using the Wilson Dwyer group gripper in my Series '70 for about 20 years now and am very satisfied with the increased accuracy that it provides. I also tried it in a Colt Combat Commander and was less than satisfied with it.
