ruger scout rifle question

i've noticed most of these seem to not have the flash suppressor or the threaded barrel, are these not available in Canada?

I was watching an Australian review of the Ruger Scout and their rifle didn't have a flash suppressor/threaded barrel either. Maybe it's just available on the American version?

The 'scout' rifle is one of Cooper's more stupid ideas. However, in some States, flash hiders are considered to be evil. As daft as that sounds and is. And a threaded barrel has no purpose.

I've noticed Grouse River Sports touting what appears to be a newer version Ruger GSS SS 18" barrel version with flash hider (18" SS barrel length w/o including flash hider in the measurement, "Not Positive but Appears that Way in the Ad"), price is even more at a $1,000+ listed. Rumours abound of Ruger Firearms being one million firearms plus in back order and over a one year wait for anything from Ruger not on shelves today?
I personally wouldn't mind the 18" barrel plus flash hider option even if the flash hider was something that could be added later if only for visual effect.
Next up on my want list is a replacement pistol grip stock similar to what's available in the Ruger 10/22 line, would be nice as well to throw in a light weight bipod into the fore stock design while your at it. I guy can wish can't he, oh yeah and 1/2" MOA. Okay now I'm getting carried away. Good Luck getting Zeroed In
