I've noticed that quite a few people up at my shooting area (slyvester road)

are having beers.

are there any regulations regarding this, is the rule 0 blood alcohol content while firing?

IIRC, there are no absolute laws about it, but if someone was shooting while intoxicated, they could charge him with careless use of a firearm.

I am not a lawyer.

Common sense applies here. I dont believe there are any laws written in stone.

There is a massive difference between having a few beers over the course of an afternoon shooting, and doing a tequila shot after every reload.

It's Sylvester road what do you expect? Personally I don't have a beer while shooting or shoot with anyone who is drinking but that's just me. Everyone has their own threshold of risk they will tolerate, if you don't feel comfortable find another spot. If you are looking for a spot near the lower mainland that doesn't have at least a few drunk yahoos on the weekend you are pretty much limiting yourself to a gun club or else you have to get up early while they are all still passed out from the night before.

I know in the US, states like Michigan have a system that is similar to driving and blood alcohol content. But this applies to conceal carries, you can only have 0.02 or something like that.
As far as in Canada, I don't know if there is a law or guidelines to follow besides common sense.

"...It's Sylvester road..." That mean there shouldn't be any shooting erither? Just curious. Rectal orifi who drink while shooting give all of us a bad reputation, but there are no laws.

common sense.... been up there( little iraq) lots, and have seen this kind of activity. Not a wise idea to be drinkin and shooting but to each their own. I just find another spot to shot or turn around and head for home.

No there are legal places to shoot up there. You know how there are always those douche bags involved with every hobby that ruin it for everyone else? Well Sylvester road has some special magic power that attracts them. But maybe they aren't as bad as I'm making them out to be. I thought they purposely left their garbage up there but it sounds like it wasn't intentional, they were probably so drunk they just forgot it.

I'm generalizing of course, but I'm sure you get the point.

Better to give slyvester road the benefit of the doubt. I mean, sure theres lots of drinking, handguns and full auto fire up there.. not even joking.. see pic below (btw that is just ONE of like 20 identical spots, what you're seeing is reserved to just 1 or 2 shooting groups at a time, if they're occupied, you go down to the next spot... There are a lot of responsible 4x4 and shooting enthusiasts who clean it up a few times a year though)

Holy crap where is this?

mission B.C, within driving distance of you.... its a horrible place, but you can shoot without judgement, if you ignore the gangsters and drunks, you have a reasonable time

what you cant see in the pic is the crazy amount of full propane tanks in the shooting field, well once full..

i make a habit of grabbing them and lining them up because after they've exploded they still make nice targets
