I've spent a few hours looking at articles in the forums etc. and know what I want, but can't seem to find anywhere in Canada that carries them. Called Epps and they said their distributor no longer lists them for ordering. ??/

I'm looking for a Stoeger Coach Gun Supreme in 12 guage and preferably in nickel.
I'm also looking for an Uberti 1866 Yellowboy in 38.

No one seems to have used ones, which isn't necessarily surprising, but I can't find anywhere in Canada that seems to have new ones either.

Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Mike

Just need something for long range and I am good to go!

Are you locked on Stoeger?

Not particularly, except from what I've been reading it's one of the best coach guns around. The one time I participated I was lent a pump, but it seemed most everyone used side by sides. In doing many hours of internet research Stoeger seemed to be the most recommended.
What are you using?

HI ; Stoegers are not the best. Just the most common available. For cheap cowboys. SKB and Browning side by sides are getting more used by high rollers.
Stevens 311 can work with some adjustment. The Russian ones are hell for strong. Norincos are bulky in the wood stock.
They all have there bugs and there assets, pick your one and spend money and time to make it work for you. Then practice ,A LOT.
Winchester 97s are good but you can have a train wreck if it slips up and cost you a top position for the day. Doubles less so and easier to overcome a jam up.

That one is a Stoeger Uplander. Went with the longer barrels as it breaks faster than the coach. Still light as air. I am not competing yet, just acquiring and practicing. I like it just fine. An expensive shotgun, to me, is like going to a hooker for nurturing. This modest baby seems to hit the steel.

Don't disagree with you there. The Stoeger coach has an msrp of $500. The uberti 1866 Yellowboy goes for about $1200.
I have not heard of the uplander. I'll have to look that one up.

for a rifle have you looked at

357/ 44 and 45

Don't waste your time with a Henry, even mediocre shooters don't use them. They don't cycle quickly or efficently, if you have to load "on the clock" your screwed! Most people that use one, use it for one or 2 matches until they replace it with something better. Go with a Uberti M73 and you'll never have to buy another cowboy rifle.

Agree to disagree! Love the Golden Boy. Lightening fast! Flawless function!

Henry. 1860 to today! "Murican" in the best sense of the term!

How can a Browning be used for CAS when Browning wasn't even founder until 1927?

John Browning built his Arms factory in 1880. However, the Browning SxS was not produced until 1972.

Stoeger Industries was founded in 1924
Stevens has been making SxS since the 1870's

HI; This is NOT based on reality. ITs pure Fantasy. Real and date have nothing to do with it. It has evolved into a pure speed and hit game.
So browning are chopped down and ejectors are disabled.
Rifles well older JM stamped Marlins are useable for a less price.
Revolvers, just look at a category you want to shoot in and buy the Ruger that fits well into it.
