PS. The auto bolt release is a Great and Easy modification.If you are concerned whether the dry fire hurts the firing pin, it does not. The 10-22 has a protection for that. However, I would like to do the same thing with my 10-22. I would also like to modify the bolt catch so that I can release the bolt without pressing the bolt release, when a filled magazine is in the gun.
It's too bad that the shipping for these little pieces is so much. Canada sucks for having to pay shipping for little things.
Then just mod your existing part. @ minutes with a dremal tool and done. Lots and lots of info online about it

Thanks, that is what I was looking for, but I don't like the fact you have to use their magazine or some safety/damage issues come into play. I'll just keep counting.![]()
I think they ment you can only use the 10 round rotary mags, including the Ruger factory ones. I think you just cant use the 25 rounders.
The first gen hold open kit needs moded mags. The second gen one does not and they say it works with Ruger BX-25 mags.
