Does anyone know where to find a front sight tool? (purpose built or generic alternative). I can't find a Canadian source, and the US suppliers charge ridiculous shipping for such a tiny/inexpensive tool.

Essentially a 3/16" nut driver. However it must be thin walled, and cannot have an internal bevel.

What are people using?

Thanks
Ed

I couldn't find anyone selling the front sight tool as well so I bought a 1/4" socket from Canadian tire, put it flush against my sander and ground it down past the internal bevel. Removed the chrome around the lower part of the socket then stuck it in my drill press (don't own a metal lathe) and reduced the side walls with a bastard file to make it thin enough to fit cleanly on the front sight nut. :p

Nice!

Brownells sells a 6 piece (iirc) screwdriver bit set that includes everything needed to work on a glock.
It's $20 or $25 and shipping will cost you another $10.

Thanks. Like they say, necessity is the mother of invention. Cost was $4. :p

What other tools are required to work on a Glock other than a punch?

The kit comes with the standard size punch and front sight tool which are essentially all most would need.

The other tools are an Allen key for glock adjustable rear sights, a small flat head screwdriver to pry with and a larger punch for the one large pin that isn't really necessary.

It's a good kit. I've used it to work on other guns as well.
