Finally, here is my version of the SKS-AR magasine conversion ! *live fire post 42*

Hi Fellow shooter's,

After long work with many stop during the process, birth of my second girl, she was born before her time so i had to put some project on the ice.

Now i have manage to finish this project.

And now i want to clear out something before someone think i have steal of Red_Liner740 idea in this thread,http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...ound-SKS-with-detachable-mag-accomplished!,we dont have the same design and i think he made an awesome job ! here the proof i was working on it way before he posted his,http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?745835-SKS-Magwell-Adapter.

Now that's is clarified,i will clarified some other thing, first the SKS you will see is a chineese with a yugo valve and not a yugo SKS and that SKS is another project im working on and will be shown when it will be done.

And the SKS have no fire pin in it for safety.

Now let's roll the pic's and vid's :

Hey, Red_Liner740 here, i'd like to congratulate you on making another successful conversion! I made the adapter with the intent of seeing if it can be done and being the first one to accomplish it, and possibly throwing it out there for everyone else to enjoy. You're going to run into the issue now of everyone wanting one but how much do you value your time to sit there and make them? I decided that my free time is more valuable than to pay myself $5 an hour over my mill cranking these out.

After numerous unsuccessful attempts at having machine shops make it for reasonable cost, i've given up on it. i made a few for myself and my friends and called it a day.

Yeah i know what you mean, and 5$ an hour your generous :)

I only did it because im joining 2 passion together,Milling and rifle, and making the sks more fun.Im not into it at full time,no way.I have 4 childs here im kind of busy as well.

Yeah i saw your conversion too and i think you did a awesome job too.Like i said i wont mass produce it,i know machine shop are charging way to high, the only option i may see it a cnc,but kind of a lot of dollard too.So for now only once in a while.

After watching your vid, "slapping the mag in", you haven't got enough clearance under the bolt. The mag should freely "click" into place as you LIGHTLY push it up. I also noticed on your last round the bolt " pushed the mag out". you need more top-end clearance and both these problems will disappear.
You have good "front to back" clearance,....I can tell because you Bolt "hold-open" works well. I had to remove mine, I just couldn't make the room even after milling it down.
