Sara Lao - IPSC Canada?

Have the suggestion been brought up? So being a brand ambassador to the shooting sport is whoring now? We need more forward thinking individuals like you.

I apologize if my beer comment have offended you.

The world does need more individuals like myself that don't sugar coat their views for mass approva . As for my comment, the way some people go about sponsorship theses days, yes.
Travis Gibson wrote a great article on the subject recently for 3GN. Most people don't realize that being a sponsored shooter isn't the cake walk they think it is. You now have added responsibilities on and off the range as well as expectations on your match performance.

If any manufacturers out there are looking for a festively plump, non-charismatic, mediocre shooter to be the ambassador of your brand, I'm your whore.

Appearance and shooting performance is secondary to personal bearing and presence. Bridge dwelling trolls and folks with scary gun handling skills need not apply. However, I'd recruit a C class shooter who is well respected and can talk about the product when asked, before I'd consider a master class shooter who's a cold fish.

While some of the sponsored shooters truly make a living at the sport, most are just able to take the sponsorship goody bag to extend their own budget.

I didn't say corporate sponsorship. I said we need a brand ambassador for shooting.

Okay you can borrow my Revo and I'll supply the ammo for Nationals.....;)

and yes Sarah is a great person along with a great competitor that consistently puts me way down at the bottom of the final match results.

Nope, just someone who knows her a hell of a lot better then you. Will have to see if she is in the market for a publicist next time I see her. No need to get snooty I'm just pointing out a general idea, you are the one trying to force your idea of what a specific person, whom you don't even know, should be doing with their free time.

And since you had no idea who she is you have no idea on what type of person or shooter she is so you are baseing your opinion on her being an ambassador for ipsc solely on esthetics. I think an ambassador should be chosen with a bit more criteria then that.

I find your willingness to have ipsc exploit her looks rather rude and ignorant.

^agreed.

Jessie gets payed for being on NRA tv, where would ipsc get the funds to hire payed spokespersons?

This is the sort of negativity that this sport consists of. If you continue to think people are whoring themselves out for the sake of making money, then you have failed miserably to think outside of the box.

I never said she should be promoting IPSC. IPSC doesn't need to be promoted and you would agree. Small ideas for people with small minds.

Thanks for reminding me why I don't shoot IPSC anymore.
