I bought a Glock 17 gen 4 from a member in the EE. All in all it was a fairly quick and simple process. In total it took 3 weeks, from initiating the transfer to delivery to my front door. I'm sure the CFO could have approved quicker but it didn't bother me as I wasn't in a rush.

This is my first restricted and I'm not a member of a club yet. I will be joining Silverdale hopefully next week. I've already done my att course with the club and gotta do my 4 probation shoots. Looking forward to putting a few downrange.

Just thought I'd share my experience with the CFO and transfer process.

Also went to sail (vaughan) today. I was talking to a guy in the gun department. Shot the ####t for about 15-20 mins. He was very knowledgeable and an active shooter himself. He gave me a lot of info and answered all my questions. My first experience at Sail was a good one contrary to what to most people on the forum have experienced. Also picked up a couple boxes of Remington 9mm 124 grain for a decent price. (14.99/50). Went to bass Pro tonight as well, same ammo was 17.99 or 18.99 don't remember now.

Congrats on the first gun. I've had my Gen 4 G17 for about 3 years now and it is still one of my favourite guns to bring to the range.

Congrats on your first gun. If you are anything like me it won't be long until you are looking at your 2nd and 3rd, but you never forget your first.

Congrats on your first gun, restricted as well, kudos to you brother! You can't go wrong with a Glock 17. The G17 was my first pistol that I ever bought and I still have it, that was many years ago in the mid 1980's. I carried this pistol daily for 5 years in the line of duty, it has gained my trust.... I, like others before me have several more pistols, rifles and have really enjoyed the shooting sports.

Your purchase is an investment not only for you, but for every gun owners future rights in Canada and for the rights of those who have not yet come into the restricted fold!

I thank you for stepping into the fold and wish you many years of enjoyment with your new G17!

Congrats! Betcha can't "eat" just one :D Had mixed experiences at Sail in E-dot. First time out some pimply faced kid (perfect material for Crappy Tire) didn't know that "CCI Standard Velocity" referred to ammo while the 2nd time out I came across a guy who knew his stuff and tried to hook me up with what I came for, was out of stock but I appreciate the effort. Definitely hit Al Flaherty's.. A bit of a mission from south E-dot, but worth it. Competitive pricing and GREAT service.

Congrats on your 1st pistol!!! My first was an M&P9 in april, now I have 4, they seem to be multiplying in the gun safe. I just brought home the glock 22 .40cal and am looking at the 17 gen4. So keep in touch and let me know the details, good and bad!
CHEERS!

I'm already thinking about getting a 22 semi as well. I might pass by Al Flaherty's tomorrow before work.. Haven't decided yet.
