Hi Guys,

I was just wondering, where do y'all get your 1911 magazines?

I've always used Brownells in the past for parts, but they won't ship Tripp magazines up here as they are not a registered manufacturer... Also the $100 limit is brutal for a mag that costs $35 a pop, makes it so you can only order 2 at a time.

Is there a Canadian distributor for Wilson/Tripp mags at a decent price?

Thanks!

*cough* wolverine, $18 for 8rd mags *cough*
good mags, nice follower, made by ACT-MAG, even though wolverine lists them as SAM

Thanks for the info guys, 18.99 is a pretty killer price for a reliable 8 rd!

I'll probably grab a couple of the tripp mags too just to see what all the hype is about...

I second that, Wolverine Supplies for the SAM 17.99 dollar 8 round mags. They are made by ACT in Italy and are top notch...

Another vote for these. I got mine at Dlask, but they are the same thing and have been flawless through ~1500 rounds.

Doing some research on the ACT-MAGs.... Have any of you guys had a problem with the feed lips cracking? Seems to be a common issue, unless they have recently resolved it.

I haven't had mine for more than a few weeks, so they haven't had the chance to get beat up enough to crack lips, or even indicate if cracked lips are likely to be forthcoming.

What about Chip McCormick magazines? Are they in the same class as Tripp?
Cheers,
B

Your particular gun may or may not like any particular 1911 magazine, high-end or not. Same as all 1911s. I love my CMC Power mags to bits. I think the design is better than all others, personally, and they work in my gun.
