*UPDATE* Ideas for removing case stuck in chamber

ok everyone i am here to update because my 7.62x39 shell extractor arrived form brownells! i popped it in the vz58 chamber and let the bolt slam forward,pulled back on the bolt handle and.....the extractor would not catch. after starring at it for a few minutes and inspecting the large gouges left in the extractors metal i realized the rear end of it was screwed on backwards.... i unscrewed it and flipped it over then let the bolt go forward. i had to put some pressure on the handle but was able to extract the shell on the first try! great success i recommend one of these to every red rifle owner.
Glad to see you had success! I think when it comes time to buy more ammo I may pick one of these up as well. Tens of thousands of rounds of surplus through seven red rifles and I've never had this issue, but I don't want to push my luck.

Keepshooting.com has these for less than $10.00 each. IIRC. Bought one in 7.62x39, 7.62x54R and 308 win.
I cant remember what I paid for shipping, but I bought a whole whack of stuff from them so it didn't seem to unreasonable. If you can talk to them and have them ship it usps [not ups they are thieves] you wont have to pay brokerage fees.
