I've got a CZ 455 coming in the mail, and I plan to do a lot of bench shooting.

Is it pretty easy to chamber single rounds by hand when there's a regular magazine loaded in one of these rifles, or is it worth tracking down one of the elusive single-shot adapters?
Anyone know where to buy them, if so? Not even CZ-USA or CZUB themselves seem to have them in stock.

Thanks in advance!
Scott

I would try CRAFM.

Barring that, in all honesty, buy a scout and take the adaptor out and sell the rifle. Resale is really good on these. (or better yet keep it like I did) :)

I bought a metal single shot adapter from another forum member , and a plastic one from
CZ USA . they both work well and are worth perusing . The plastic CZ one works just as well
and is lighter , if that helps you make a weight limit . My 452 Varmint with T24 scope is just
under the 8.5 lbs. max for Factory Sporter class with the plastic adapter over with metal
magazine . Clip sure would be easier to type .

Fella over on RFC, "AzizaVFR", makes the single shot adapters for Savage rifles, both LR/HM2 and WMR/HMR and also CZ LR... I was fortunate to get three of each, they are milled out of solid 7075 billet aluminum. Check the Blue Danube Parts Sticky in the Savage forum at RFC to see if he is still active.

Denny, also known as Brnoman on the RFC website, found in the Brno/CZ thread sells all kinds of original parts for CZ RIfles including the original single shot adapters. I actually find I shoot better using the adapter compared to a standard magazine.

I advise extreme caution if trying to deal with "AzizaVFR" on RFC. A couple of years ago, I contacted him by e-mail and phone, ordered a Savage type single shot adaptor, sent him $40 and received NOTHING in return. Multiple contact attempts with no success AND I am not the only one who got stiffed - several others in the USA. His previous history had been OK as had been the reviews of his products.

On good ol' CGN, I have bought and sold numerous items - ALL without even a hint of a glitch - all smooth and satisfactory: Take a bow, CGN'ers.

Yo Dave stocks them (google)

Many thanks suberman. They are in stock at Yo Dave and I have ordered one.

Used the single shot adapter that came with my CZ 452 Scout (what a great little rifle!) and now want one for my wife's CZ 452 American. The adapter makes target shooting simpler and may also result in better results on target - eliminates any chance of bullet damage when feeding from a mag.

Just heard back from Dave Diana of Yo Dave. Unfortunately, the adapters are actually out of stock and are on backorder.
