Finally found some ammo my gun likes.

Put this 10/22 together a little while ago.

Tried a bunch of different ammo through it today and got a few good 5 shot groups at 50yd with CCI Standard velocity. The best one measured 0.392". I had a 10 shot group that would have been 0.290", but a flyer opened it up to 0.665". Apparently my Dlask barrel didn't get the message that it isn't supposed to work with CCI fodder.

A side note; WSS Calgary just got in a bunch of CCI ammo, so I picked up another 2K of the standard velocity. There was also a pile of stingers and mini-mags too.

Have you tried Federal Auto Match? My DAR 22 w/ 12.5" Xtreme barrel really likes this ammo.

I've got an 8" with the X-treme chamber.I know for a fact it does not like anything Winchester(bulk 333,wildcat,superx).Very tight fit with lots of FTE's.I picked up some Blazer bulk 525,some blazer 50 pks and some American Eagle.Hopefully something works.The CCI SV seems to be a very tight fit also but I havn't tried them yet.

I have a Savage that is fussy with ammo, I too found that for that gun the CCI works best, I usually use Winchester and it wouldn't cycle properly at all with that gun.

Today's results ended up with CCI Standard being tack driving at 50yards, and the rest of teh ammo was.. not tack driving lol. The Eley I was shooting almost did as well as the CCI.. last time I spend that kinda money lol.
