Hey guys~dug-up this thread, trying to find an AD "Recon" mount, 30mm. Tried the Shooting Edge first (just sent them an email) but they're sight shows it being out of stock. Any other dealers?

What would you suggest? 1/3 co witness or absolute co witness?

The two most popular are the 1/3 and the absolute, it's about half and half for sales. So really for that, it comes down to preference.

A few guys also like the CASV which is made for the VLTOR rail system, but gives a lower profile.

With A2 front sights I like the 1/3 lower co witness and absolute with flip up sights.

I prefer lower 1/3.

The difference is minimal regardless. I find the only time a difference is seen is if I shoot a rifle With a fixed front site And the post itself is really thick.

When the post is thick I tend to notice it a bit more with the.floating on it

Other than that if you are using folding sites you won't notice much of a difference.

If you are in Ontario one shot tactical has a good choice of mounts as does target sports.
