I called the cfo to check on my transfer today (started May 8) and the lady I talked to approved it while I was on the phone with her and emailed the transfer notice. I used extension 9530 for the BC cfo office. I'm not sure we're supposed to call and bug them, but it seems to light a fire under them when you do.

Funny I got the order status update e-mail May 27 last Monday saying my transfer was sent in bulk . Today I called CFC to start a private transfer so I asked them to look for the transfer from Can Ammo . I gave them the ser # provided from Can Ammo . CFC has no record of a transfer started by Can Ammo to me . And the ser # provided by Can Ammo is in the system but not associated to me ??? .This is without a doubt the worst experience I've had buying a restricted firearm in 34 years of owning restricted firearms . I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing the same issues . I'm not going to e-mailing or call Can Ammo to find out WTH is going on . They are busy enough as it is . & I shouldn't have to call . If I don't receive my order by July 1st 2 months after ordering I'm just going to call my CC company & get my money back . ;)

This is not wining about the service from Can Ammo . I've always had great service from them .
This is just the facts of this particular transaction.
 
Ordered April 29, sent to CFC May 23, shipped May31. Still faster than it took for the transfer of my private-sale AR back in Feb. No complaints here. Now I can't wait dor my Fab Defence grips from Isreal...its gonna be sweet!

I would have had them email you a copy of the notice and then you also fax Canada Ammo. Its the only way you can guarantee they got a copy today!

Heres how it will look. A Dlask (or similarly extended, 8 round mag with a bumper on the bottom) will help with mag insertion in a big way.

How do you get it approved over the phone ? They told me it is not possible...
 
Well,

Ordered on the 25, payment processed on May 1, Transferred to CFO on May 27. Called last week, CFO states nothing in system, called Canam last week, they didn't want to check up on it. Called CFO this morning, same thing. Finally got Canam to say something besides "don't know" today. I guess they have been having lots of trouble with bulk transfers and they are calling CFO to deal with it in the morning. Could have been shooting by now if they would have just double checked last week instead of "don't know". Now i'm sorry your busy with work, but you guys have to sort out all these problems others are having as well.

Here's the problem I have. Talked to a really nice lady at the CFO today, and she said that they just don't understand why canam doesn't submit over the phone or online. She says its a heck a lot faster doing it that way then bulk transferring to the CFO for the CFO to manually input it all into the system. Guess its not a high priority for them as she stated its not their job to input into the system before the dealer trys, or doesn't in this case.:confused:

I called and asked to check the status. The lady I talked to said it wasn't approved yet and she would try to approve it on the spot. I think it depends who you talk to, the lady I got last week didn't offer any help at all.

200 pages and 1992 posts, lets make the next few up to 2000 nice ones with lots of pics of their new norc 1911! I was post 1000, who will show us their 1911 for post 2000!
 
At this point, another pic of an unmodified one wouldn't mean much unless it showed something odd. There are an ample number of posts already showing the "as received" and some with "post clean-up" sporting new grips and bless those guys for posting so us "waiters" can feed our anticipation. The many, many posts commenting on the general condition (most being fairly positive) have allayed my concerns and prompted me to order a second. It will still be a while for me before it/they arrive but I've been looking on many forums for pics of others 1911's that have been beautified to get an idea of how I might want to do the same at some point. So, pics of beautified 1911's would be best as this thread winds down.
 
Hmm, if I say mine is for my dad for Fathers Day, will it make it to him faster? This is actually somewhat true; it is for him. #3959184 - just saying...

I will add that patience is fading...........

Oh and I have two orders, the other on April 26th, don't know when that one will arrive, maybe October! Oh well, its not like I don't have .45's to play with :p
