Did Remington ever make a BDL without a jewelled bolt? Also, was there ever a factory BDL that was a blued/synthetic combo (not including their Custom Shop rifles)?

Thanks.

Bruce, I've been buying 700s since the 70s and have never seen a BDL in a plastic stock or with an unjeweled bolt. BDL means ....B model Deluxe in Rem nomenclature, so unjeweled bolt or stock other than checkered, Monte Carlo with cheek piece in walnut is very unlikely. These little niceties and the bottom metal and black grip cap and fore end tip is what defines the BDL from other model 700s. The ADL and CDL bracket the BDL and have very distinct characteristics and features all their own.

I agree - I just thought the fellow may have dropped it into a synthetic stock or something. I am certain it is an ADL.
