Is anyone using Gen 3 PMags with their Tavor? I see that Magpul's new Gen 3 PMag claims this new feature:

A redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance
which seems to address the issues earlier PMag models had with rifles like the Tavor. I like PMags a lot, and would like to pick up a few, but not if they're going to cause problems.

I use them...no issues at all that I've found....but then again...I've only had my Tavor for a short while.

I haven't used my pmags in my Tavor yet, but I did do a bolt clearance test with them and they actually had more clearance than my D&H STANAG mags. I did the test that TV-PressPass did with his Tavor to try and diagnose his rifle not locking the bolt to the rear and my bolt cleared the pmag follower no problem since the bolt catch is designed to activate from the rear instead of the side. I think the reason TVs Tavor didn't lock to the rear was just because of simple wear on the bolt catch that needed to be replaced. 2000+ rounds through my Tavor and my bolt catch shows the exact same signs of wear as TVs but I have not started experiencing any type of malfunctions yet, so his may have been a one in a hundred occurence. MAC on youtube uses the Gen 2 pmags without any issue, the only reason I don't use them is because they are tight in the magwell of my rifle.

The main problem with the pmag was in rifles not designed with a rearward bolt catch found in the ACR which the magazine was designed for. The Tavor has a very similar bolt catch design to the ACR so I would not be worried about using pmags in your rifle.

You don't need to file the back of Gen3 Pmags...also, you might want to consider Lancer L5 AWM's (sold by CTCS...see above). I've used them also and they work fine (also give you that Steyr Aug look...if that's your thing).

As Brordo recommended here, I've picked up a couple of L5 AWMs, from the man himself!
