Factory Ruger 10/22 25Rd. magazines

Well that sucks, thanks for the info. though. What's the difference between a BX-25 and any other aftermarket 25Rd. magazine other then quality, I mean what makes one shoot in a pistol and the others not? Or is it just the fact Ruger stated it could be used in a pistol that makes it unavailable in Canada, not that it is any different?
Thanks for the assistance.

Just the fact Ruger stated it could be used in a pistol.
See, you answered your own question!

They all work in Charger pistols, but Ruger stated right on the packaging that the BX-25 was for 10/22 AND Charger pistols and the RCMP declared them prohibited as a result... Which really sucks for Canadian shooters. Ruger knew about this problem and yet when they developed the new 25 round mags, they did the exact same thing and stated that they would work in the Charger pistol... I have yet to hear if these new ones are allowed or not?

The BX25's are prohibited in their original state...doesn't mean there aren't any around. They just need to be pinned to 10 rounds. Many were brought in before this pinning necessity became apparent. This makes them unattractive to pretty much everyone due to other brands being available with higher round capacity.

what pistol will accept a 10/22 magazine??

The Ruger Charger.

Really? A ban based simply on verbiage and nothing to do with function? Can someone please explain the sensibility of this? I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around it.
