Hello all, I'm looking for a USGI wood stock. Please advise where I would be able to find one. I'd like to buy it within Canada. Thanks.

I know of a supplier in USA that sells them for great prices to here, no idea who in Canada sells them. Inbox me if you'd like the link. Hope you get what you're looking for!
Cheers,
Riley.

"...supplier in USA..." U.S. Federal law forbids exporting any M14 parts without their export permit. And the seller must have a U.S. government exporter's licence.
"...looking for a USGI wood stock..." Be easier finding an M1A stock. Doesn't have the silly export issues either. Gunparts lists issue wood stocks, starting at about $50 US, but they can't and won't ship 'em here. You could try Western Gun Parts.

Im looking for a wood stock also. Tried to order one from Boyds Gunstocks in the States. Their price is $104 US for a nice finished walnut stock, problem is they cannot export anything to Canada over $100 ... I called down to see if I can order one unfinished for cheaper, but the person I talked to says they get them finished ... I thought they made them, but oh well. So im boned over 4 bucks ... lame. Think Ill cut down the walnut tree in my backyard and carve my own .... probably easier.

Within Canada... I guess your only opition is the EE. They do come up there from time to time.

If you are willing to expand your horizons, treelinem14 do ship to Canada. That's where I bought mine.

thanks guys, being a newbie I joined the EE but will be a few days before im approved, likely gone by then lol .... WCE, wanna sell one of your stocks?

boyds occasionally have unfinished m1a stocks, i think right after a run are made. they go fast, you need to watch out for them. i got one that way.

they seem to put the finished m1a stock on sale around july 4th pretty regularly, if you don't mind waiting, you might get lucky and find it on sale.

"...Boyds Gunstocks..." They cannot and will not export M14 parts at all. It has nothing to do with the price. M14 parts are restricted for export by the U.S. Government. M1A parts are not.

Sunray has a point.
When you guys ask these american companies for m14 "parts" , most often they won't help you. Regardless of export stuff. Learn to ask for M1A stuff.... To an american they are two different items. One was a service weapon, one was not. M1A items are exportable, M14 items have a totally different set of rules.
Businesses and individuals in the US have had their lives ruined for selling M14 parts to out of country buyers.

Boyd's usually has their unfinished M1A stocks on sale a couple times a year. Save your chinese plastic or wood stock so you can salvage the metal to swap to the boyd's
Get some Tung oil , do the simple mods to adapt the stock to the norc receivers bearing profile (see the stickies) and yer good to go.

I've also heard of guys getting stocks from treeline but haven't ordered one myself

I have bought lots of "M14 parts" from treelinem14 (and that is what they call them, off the "m14 parts" tab on their website). I bought a rear sight, a flash hider, a stock, a handguard, an extractor, and various other bits and pieces from them. Most of these parts I bought are real deal USGI parts, not M1A parts or other knock-offs.

On their site every one of their parts is clearly marked as whether it can be exported to Canada or not, so whatever the rules are, they clearly know them well.

This is also true and an example of a company that has jumped thru hoops to be approved to export "some" genuine G.I. parts. Even they have restrictions, but like you mention, they let us know what us Canukistanis can order or not.
Take advantage while treeline is still able. It's a costly headache filled endeavor to maintain such export privledges.

Treeline will sell you parts <$100.

Was at a gun show in Woodstock Ontario on the weekend a vendor has USGI wood stocks available $75 to $130 including hardware. I got one for myself and am happy. My Norinco M305 slid in with no adjustment to the stock. However I will need to add to the stock with jb weld where the select fire was on the old model. These are the best options for Canadians as Treeline and Boyds are not able to ship to Canada over $100, its either this or carve your own :p I got his flyer his contact info is Steve at m14stocks@cogeco.ca

Pay it forward :)
