Hey bro , my H&r is a tack driver, but they are a little heavy, I replaced the wood stock with ati AR style stock and it shaved a few lbs off, over all a great gun:)

Cheers

Yes you can buy barrels in Differnt calibers but you have to send it in to the dealer to have it fitted.:)

This is not really correct info. First, YES the Sportster .17 HMR is a very accurate gun... I had two but sold them when I bought Savage, Ruger and CZ bolt action Hummers... I wish I hadn't, because the Sportster was more accurate than any of the bolts I have now. ONLY rinfire barrels can be fit to the Sportster frame due to the firing pin location... And you can only send it to the factory if you are in the USA... There is NO barrel fitting program in Canada. Fortunately it is not hard to properly fit a barrel, I have done dozens... The rimfires are on the SB1 Rimfire frame... It is easiest just to buy another gun and then fit the two barrels to the frame that they fit best. About half the time NO fitting is required. For fitting info go to Graybeards Outdoors Forums to the H&R Centerfire forum and read through the FAQ sticky.
