Well yesterday I paid for a Browning 1911-22, And went and picked it up today, 18 hours to complete the transfer, gotta love that! It says it came out of the factory April 3 2013, It comes with really nice walnut grips, I think the older models are just molded plastic but I could be wrong. I have small enough hands so the gun works for me really well. Took it out to the range tonight with 5 different types of ammunition, It ate everything flawlessly. CCI mini mags, Remington yellow jackets, Federal 525 value pack, Winchester 333's and standard American Eagle 40gr lead RN and 38gr Jacketed HP's. Iam pretty happy that it isn't picky with ammo as I have a large amount of American Eagle on stand by. Seemed fairly accurate without putting any rounds on paper, shot 6" steel at 20 and 25 yards without any issues. I would highly suggest this pistol for anyone with smaller hands or g/f's wives and kids. Finally some pics compared to a full size 1911.

I bought one a few weeks ago for my girlfriend (and myself). Great little handgun, total blast to shoot. Same as you, I tried a few types of ammo and had no issues. It really likes Federal 525's and CCI Stingers.

Where did you get it, and what was the price tag? I shot one of these at the range a few weeks ago, and bet my GF would love it.

Congrats on your Browning, I purchased one for my wife (myself and friends) more than a year ago and it has been a lot of fun. One of my most memorable outings was when we let a 5 year old with a disability shoot a couple of magazines with his fathers close supervision. That kid was totally ecstatic. One thing to look out for with these is that when our round count got close to 1500 it started to have frequent failure to fires. Even though it was thoroughly and frequently cleaned. A close examination found a hardened carbon deposit where the firing pin protrudes from the slide. I had to remove it with a dental pick and have done that every time I clean it now. Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up!

Nice, saw those a week or two ago. Was thinking of getting one for my wife. She wants pink handgrips though :)

P and D Enterprises....$535.00. Website shows fresh stock. Mine was made in Apr. 2013..purchased May 25th at P and D. Now that's quick distribution IMO !

Congratulations on the new gun, I just got one as well and it has the walnut double diamond grips. Taking it to the range this weekend along with some full size 1911's.
I regretted trading my Buckmark off and had a bit of extra cash so I thought a scale model of a 1911 in .22LR might be fun.
