Nice to see that everything worked out. Wouldn't call it just a "parts gun", though (not implying OP should keep it, only that it is not a write-off). New barrel can't be that expensive, right?

Seller says he will return the funds after the gun gets back LOL I think we got it straightened out now waiting for emt but jeepers why hide such a major flaw eh ? Its actually bulged in two spots on closer inspection. The really bad one is almosted ringed at about 15".

Did you wait until you received the gun before sending your initial EMT payment? What you have right there is a bad seller who deserves negative feedback.

off to search the shotgun exchange for "Ithaca 37's, Auto 5, Wingmaster" to add another scammer to the ignore list.

Edit: odd, 140 trader rating. Could have been an oversight I guess. The pics do not show a bulged barrel, although I don't know where the bulge is. Did careful photography leave this part out?

its still worth $200 for parts

For sure, even with a bad barrel and a bulged barrel pending how bad it is and where not always easy to pic up. The seller just missed it can happen to any one of us that sell a pile of guns.
He is taking care of it what else do some guys want here his arm and next born. Unreal how some think. Glad they are so perfect.

Um, every transaction I've ever had on the EE is money up front or COD. Sounds pretty stupid to me to order or sell something and not have the money in hand before shipment.

I think maybe what he meant was the buyer had to send the money first before the seller sent the gun but now the seller wants the gun back before he sends the buyer his money back.
In any case, the seller says he already sent the buyer his money back plus shipping costs.

Oops, your right. I missed the whole second page.

Open mouth, insert foot. Nice!

Yup, not the first time. Lol

I was talking about the return transaction, not the initial purchase. Yes, it was stupid of the seller to request the return of the firearm without FIRST refunding the buyer his money. Money comes first, then shipping.

That's correct. Money comes first. The seller has no right to ask for the gun back first.

Looks like i started a whole pile of crap here for what was likely an oversight on Slugos part.
Left a positive rating for the simple reason that he gave a full refund including shipping.
With a 140 trader rating it is obvious he buys/sells alot of guns and mistakes do happen.
I also agree it was still worth almost what i paid for it in parts, unfortunately i dont need any parts right now LOL. It all worked out ok for me in the end and has caused some scrutiny of the seller which was not my intent in starting this thread.
If not for our stupid laws I would have been happy to keep it and chop the barrel alas that is evil according to our rules and cutting one under 18" is against the law. You can buy a factory 12" barrel for your 870 but heaven forbid you chop a damaged barrel under 18"
Still looking for a 2-3/4" x 26" full choked vent ribbed gun in working condition and cheap if anybody sees one please let me know.
