depending on your club, typically, if the 1911 is pretty much stock / bare bones, much like the one in question, it will be allowed - although you may be disqualified if you're the one that wins the Cadillac and the others kick up a fuss.

I have called, on more than one occasion. However I never get an answer. Maybe I will try again. They have already initiated my transfer. That probably needed my address eh? I changed it with the CFC so...I dunno?

Do we gotta join a range before we get the transfer? I was under the impression that you just needed to say the one you intended to join. Once again...first restricted here. I live in Sask, if that makes a difference.

Once I get this darn thing in my hands I will be less worried. To take it outta the house I need the registration certificate, a range membership, and my LTATT correct?

No doubt you are lucky! I paid April 26, transfer Initated May 18 and the CFC still has no record of it at all as of today. Hate to complain as this was a great deal and I really appreciate CanAm bringing it to us but to be honest I am disappointed.

You'll get a call from them asking for proof of membership. I would guess that the transfer would stay on hold untill you fax In your proof. If you already have a membership you can call/ fax it in at anytime

Correct ammo and firearms are never shipped together...

I know what you mean, but in this case if they sent him pretty much any other pistol, it's a bonus cause this is the cheapest one,! But then he would have to order another kit, just because!

Wife went out for a smoke the other day and there it was sitting in my front porch....glad i dont live in a bad area. Nothing like leaving a .45 with 1000 rounds for anyone to pick up.

Hope you called and complained .. To many posts like this and the crazies will take Canpar and on-line sales out of the equation..

Does not happen in my neck of the woods .. Canpar driver called in advance the other day ( 1600 rounds of .223 ) said " your bullets are here " If he knew then your driver should have known . No excuse for not doing his job and getting a signature ... People like that will kill it for us all ..

Edit: Wholesalesports had Loomis deliver 20 rounds of Speer GDHP .45 acp to me a few months ago .. Driver got a signature , just was two houses away .. I had three exec's from Loomis call me after I reported that one, neighbor brought me the package three hours later after a round of phone calls. The delivery companies do care .. This is a major liability to them .....

After hearing posts like this I put a container on the front porch with notes on the container and door for them to put the packages in the container, at least it was out of sight till I got to it! When I order 1911 #2 I will advise the local canpar guys to hold it for pickup!
