The is an Echols pattern Mcmillan and Blackburn bottom metal.
Like the big screw base mounts on a light piece, Ardent.......... Keeps the scope from coming unglued.

Yep factory Kimber Ascent in .308, I'm looking forward to stretching it's legs to 500 yards soon. We have a 1000 yard range on an abandoned airstrip, can't shoot close there just too boring.
