wheres ztunelover with his dainty updates on how crappy this will be and no way its getting into canada??!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though I didnt say it will be crappy, I'm saying we are getting stoked for a rifle we know nothing about. It just might turn out to be epic, but the rifle itself could turn out to be crap, does interarms/high standard have any major mil contracts to show their merit as manufacturers? If it was something hk or fn or cz, steyr I can safely say I would piss my pants because in all likelihood it would be a stellar rifle. I can't get excited in this case till i see the stats on the rifle itself.
And I never said there is no way its getting in, but dude if that swiss debacle goes wrong this could get caught up in the rc going superbanhammer everything
Interarms Tantals are a known quantity in the U.S. market; a decent mid to upper mid grade example of the type. I'd be surprised if the export version differed drastically.
Also, remember, for the type of rifle it is, there's just not going to be a lot of export opportunities outside of otherwise legally restricted markets like ours, even if you were an FN or an HK.
For me it's whatever, wait and see, although I'll be happy to buy one if and when they became available.
Heck, I'd consider having one built instead of buying off the shelf.
so you guys are getting all worked up over a rifle that may or may not be like another rifle and have no idea what it is like? have i got this straight?
Yep. ztunelover will be handing out tinfoil hats at the door tonight.

Is it actually going to be called "Canadian sporting rifle?"
I checked the FRT databank, and there is NO FRT # for a firearm under that name, also tried High Standard ( Yes, I know it's going under a different brand. )
There a reason for this, or has it not shown up yet?

Watch it turn out to be an SKS with a shoulder thing that goes up.
Thanks for the reply, Fenceline. I didn't, and don't read whole threads of this type, because comments on them are speculative, and in general useless - unlike yours. Thank you.
I will check the FRT when I get a chance for that name, and hopefully, it has been assigned to a class - or has someone already done that?
you're late to the party, your special request has already played
I'm waiting for high standard to get back to me I sent them an email. This rifle is not on their website. But no one managed to produce a FRT # yet.
just woke up, this will be terrible and never allowed in canada. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
sorry wont drop the ball again, i will be up at 8 in the morning tomorrow, no i wont.

and my comments are fuelled by diced dolphins and minced lions, they are far from dainty good sir.
