I have a line on a shotgun I am looking at tonight. Buddy said that there are no mfg markings on it. From the pictures on facebook all that I can see is that it is marked as being a hammerless shotgun and that it is made in Hungary.

Wild guess is that its made by Fegyver És Gépgyár aka. FEG (Feb 24th 1891 - Bankrupt in 2004).

Are there any existing firearms mfg's in Hungary that anyone on here knows of?

It is most likely a Feg or made by them. Feg was not always marked on them. For example, I have a Continental made by Feg but it is not marked Feg. I can't remember if the Victoria model I had was marked Feg on it or not.

"...firearms mfg's in Hungary..." Had a nice O/U made there, long ago. Had ADANAC stamped on it. No idea who made it. No parts were available, so when one extractor broke, it got traded.

I assumed it was a double barrel. A single shot I'm not sure about. Guess it could still be a Feg but don't know what model might be marked on it.

All it says is that it's made in Hungary and that it is a hammerless shotgun. The guy I bought it off of bought it off of a Warrant from my unit, who based on his last name I am pretty sure is Hungarian. I'm willing to bet it came over with him, or his family.

My guess is that it's a good 30-40 years old but is in 9/10 condition. I was after something simple for clay targets, and once in a while if I want to hit an 18L water jug with 00 or 000 buck..... or if I want to make some fruit salad. :)

Theres a guy I know at work whos wife is from Hungary. Her brother is a police officer there so I'm tempted to see if he can tell me anything about it.
