Ammo Left on Porch

Hell - they'll drop off restricted firearms that way, too.

Cannon

yup.... they did that for me too... I had it happen twice... once with a non restricted and once with a pistol... sitting at my door ALL DAY..
THE SELLER IN BOTH CASES WAS TOO CHEAP to pay for "signature required"

FYI Every shipment from us that goes via canpar is "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" In fact it even pops up on the drivers screen when they arrive at each location.

We have discussed this issue with Canpar, and they have pledged to sort it out. In fact I have asked them to read this thread.

Canada Post is still the way to go. If you miss your delivery, they either come back again or you pick it up at the post office. Signature is always required and never gets left at the doorstep. Don't know what happens with CanPar but none the less, that is not good.

And despite all these accounts of deliveries being left in site all day, there isn't one story of anything bad happening! That just goes to show how paranoid everyone's become these days. These guys delivering packages are just doing a job, I can say with some certainty that everyone cuts some corners at work to get more done, save time while managing a risk, its human nature. Are there risks associated? The answer is yes. Do we manage risks all day everyday in every avenue of our lives? Also yes. I think one of the biggest risks we need to manage a little better is STRESS! and the first step is chilling out a little bit and letting minor issues like this slide. KCCO

I once bought some ammo from SFRC and i checked for UPS (as it is said on the site it's the only way to deliver ammunition it's by UPS). I was surprised when Canada post made the delivery and the guy throw the box to me to catch it in the air. I paid few dollar more for UPS but Canada post made the delivery. Tried to contact SFRC by email but not a response.

Courier does not know whats in the box
My wife knew what was in the box....all she had to do was read the words on the box and look at the picture of the item inside.
Maybe I'm giving my wife's detective skills too much credit.

Never had this issue with any of my shipments via Canpar. And I have ordered quite a few things through them.

Anyway Canadaammo is on top of this, I'm sure everything will be sorted out. Lets leave it at that.

Just a suggestion, as this is what's worked for me.

"Please put my parcels in the back seat of the car in the driveway, cover with supplied blanket and lock the doors. Thank you!"

Reminds me of my first rifle purchase. An SKS-D through Caina company when I was 18 only a few months past. My parents did not even know I had an FAC, let alone was going to buy guns and store them in their basement!
My mom accepted the package, a big long box. When I got home I told her it was a fishing rod.
THAT IS NOT A FISHING ROD!
I had to open it up, and when I showed it to her and put the 30 rd mag on it she nearly had a heart attack.

Considering they did not even let me buy a BB gun when I was a child they got over it and the boxes kept coming. Everytime one came she would say "You got a fishing rod in today".

Classic.

That's funny! I wonder if they subsequently wrote you out of their will:D Have they been shooting with you?

thats unfortunate. the canpar workers in my area always give me a call or try to make contact for alternate delivery. i am going to say they are my favorite shipping company

Canpar isn't aware of what's in the packages I'm sure, but the crates of Ammo I've received haven't been wrapped. Living in an apartment, I can assure you it's quite frustrating trying to find a package that isn't in the warehouse, but should have been delivered when the Canpar website said to be home. Lol. The joys of online shopping. Not that I'm complaining, can't beat the CanadaAmmo deals! I'll suffer Canpar gladly for those prices!

Better than ups .. I caught them backing up on my lawn dropping 2 svt 40s and 1760 rounds.. When I opened the door the guy looked really surprised to see me and when I asked about the signature he just kinda mumbled and spent 15 minutes on his portable unit trying to figure it out

I get the feeling my crate of ammo is going back to CanAm...Canpar attempted delivery yesterday but due to the system updates for CanAm I didn't get the shipping notification until today (after a missed first attempt). I had someone waiting all day...but nada...zip...nothing. So I call/email Canpar (we'll look into it and get back to you...they don't). I check the tracking number and sure as sh1t...it says they can't locate my address now. REALLY? I'm guessing lazy driver didn't even try...so...CanAm, if it comes back to you you'll know why. Feel free to contact me to sort this out if it does come back.
