Im looking for a new bear defence gun ,, lol jk ;) well maybe not ... Well im guessing it would involve a custom barrel and bolt because i doubt theres any aftermarket kits? Ballpark what would a custom shop charge to do something like this if possible? IWI if your listening lets get some kits made up.

The price in thousands of dollars to have someone attempt to do that would exceed the original price of the rifle, but in theory?
Hell yes it's possible.

Non restricted beowulf, might just be worth it...

Yep it would be sweet ,, it actually would be a really good bear defence gun lol I would pay a grand or so if someone ever made a kit but i think the custom route would be to costly for whats it worth ..

You never know, the Golan has been plagued by grizzlies this season...

The round was made to defend vehicle checkpoints by busting up a engine block of a car, and has been used in Afghanistan and Iraq .. You would think it would be viable for the Israel too .. Not sure what i wound rather face , a charging grizzly or a charging car laced with explosives lol

HUmmm well if a AR15 can be chambered in .50 by changing the barrel, bolt and spring why would any other .223 rifle that uses AR mags be any different ? Guess it just takes a manufacture to take on the project.

Beowulf AR's use a different upper, as the Ejection port is larger. Not sure how big the port is on a Tavor, but it's something else that would need to be considered.

Except in testing it did no better against engine blocks than standard M855 5.56. They were used in *very* small numbers in Iraq/Afghan by one PMC and were not popular at all. Nobody in their right mind was going to run a primary with a 7 round capacity (That's what they came with at the time).

The Tavor/X95 were designed for CQB, so I'm not exactly sure .50 Beowulf fits with their doctrine.

Try a complete redesign: barrel, gas system, bolt, carrier and receiver. Yeah, I'm sure you could get it done for $1,000...

I was not aware the receiver would need to be changed .. So the .50 AR uppers are different than a regular AR15 upper dimensionally ? For some reason i thought you could just swap the barrel, bolt, buffer spring to convert a AR to .50 .. might of been thinking of a different caliber .
