22" Gaillard barrel - 7mm 08 on a long action with a Kwik Klip. Dual dovetail mounts.
It currently sports a little lightweight Leupold 3-9 instead of the 3.5-10 pictured
Curious about your choice to use a long action for your 7mm-08. Was it based on reloading flexibility or to use the kwik clip conversion?
It was before Kwik Klip made a short action conversion... and I wanted the Kwik Klip... and if I want to make it into any of the medium length cartridges (6mm Rem, etc) in the future, no magazine length problems. Short actions are over rated as far as I am concerned.

Heres a couple of pretty crappy pics of my Rem 700 Hunter. Its a late 90's Mountain rifle in 280Rem, wearing a Leupold VXII 3-9x40, bedded in a McMillan Rem Hunter stock (my buddy says the ugliest one ever made

My 700 in 7rem mag, Love this rifle ... hart barrel , Jewel trigger , Mcmillan A3 sporter , Night Force NXS 250 ... I also have a 700 TI In 7-08 and a Alaskan TI in 300 WSM. They are both still factory rifles ... Love my 700's !

With so many of them made there have to be some real lookers out there. I'd like to present my shooting stick - I think she's a beauty queen. An older 700 chambered in .308win with bbl cut down to 20" - sporting a modern laminate stock (thanks troutseeker!). Doesn't get any better for me!

That's a very sharp looking set up. I'm looking to do something similar with my older .308 BDL. What's the contour of that stock like? Is it off a mountain rifle or a CDL? I find the original BDL stock to be way too thick to be comfortable to carry.

PM sent - I believe it came from a mountain rifle but not 100% sure,
SPS SS .308WIN in a new Boyd's stock w/6500 2.5-16...anxiously awaiting re-barrel!
