Glock 22 or Glock 17

Any entity that has done life cycle testing on both Platforms will show that the G17 will last longer than the G22.
Its physics - as the .40S&W round has a lot more juice than the 9mm.

However, for most people's practical purposes they will last equally as long, and if your someone who can afford to shoot 40K of .40S&W a year thru a Glock, the idea of replacing a pistol every year will not phase you, as the ammo will be 100X more the price of a new gun.

Generally though either model of Glock will be fine for just about anyone here.

The difference between 9mm, .40S&W, or .45ACP will modern JHP ammo is pretty negligible, unless you have an intermediate barrier or suppressed requirement the 9mm round will likely be you best choice.

Agreed. I own a fourth gen G22 and I love it. The 40 is alot of fun to shoot, and I really like the gen 4 G17 as well. You can't go wrong with either one.

Also, LOL@ztunelover posting a jimmy jaeger video...what an idiot.

Daughter (15) shoots the G22. Like a boss.

I shoot one as well. Like a blind drunk.

Waiting for a 17 to arrive and hopeful for improvement...

The 17 is a gem, if you have issues with accuracy using the 22 slow down and concentrate on the trigger squeeze. I found the G17 to be such a soft shooter, i'm definetly going to pick one up in the future.

Glock 22 gen 4, lone wolf 40-9 barrel, with this set up you can , as has been said ,use which ever ammo you can find , sometimes 9mm is out of stock.
Myself , I don't feel the 40 in the gen 4 to be any "snapper" then the 9 with the lone wolf barrel, though my groups are tighter with the 9mm.

I've been using 9mm in the 40 mag with no problem, but haven't been loading more then 10rds of 9 in them .
