I guess you are talking about CPCA PPC matches. I 'm looking in the rule book right now and I don't see your pistol listed as allowable for the "duty pistol" competition. You would have to confirm it's eligibility with the CPCA. You could still compete in the Semi Automatic 1500 round. That competition involves shooting out to 50 yds, and some people use guns with adjustable sights. When it comes to holsters, any strongside holster could be used in the 1500 round but, if your gun is approved for duty pistol competition, you will have to have a Level II retention holster. That means two distinct "release" motions are required to draw the gun. My safariland holster requires me to roll the safety hood forward and then thumb another catch backwards to release the gun. Friction does NOT qualify as a level of retention although some holster manufacturers advertisments do consider friction to be one level of retention. the CPCA rule book is available in PDF on line.
