Where are you guys getting different grips for your CZ's? I just tried doing a brownells order and all I tried for was an ak battle grip, which is already kicking around in AR form, and a AK to AR grip adapter so I could use regular AR grips. The whole order was cancelled to to the manufacturers not having they're exportation permits in place.

Yes I understand that it's just the American system, but I know I've seen parts from the same manufactures already in Canada? How are you guys getting this stuff? Is it just sending it to an American address and having them ship it? (Yes I know that's not kosher). Alternitively who is the importer/retailer/distributor for US palm or tango down. The grip adapter is by double star or something and I haven't heard of em up here so I buy they won't have the permits.

And no, I don't want the fab defence option, even though that would make my life easier. Any other options?

I dunno, I wouldn't mess with all this gitmo ####, those guys down south mean business with that stuff. Its all ok for you to bring it into Canada from the Canadian border side, just not kosher for you to take it out of the Sates.

"...an ak battle grip..." AK and AR parts are restricted for export by the U.S. Dept of State regardless of value. CZ handgun parts are not. Most U.S. retailers and manufacturers can sell everything they make Stateside and do not want to pay the huge fee to get the U.S. Dept of Commerce exporter's licence, so they don't. They don't care about the miniscule Canadian market either.

Yeah I know thats why I'm frustrated trying to find the legal way.

Blegend, Read the Guide in my sig line

Will do, I took a half hearted look for that guide but I didn't find it

I did not realize they had blanket bans on export for AR or AK parts. I understood military gear that they issue wont be exported but an AK is nothing more than a civilian fun toy down there. And sorry for my lack of clarity, I was refering to CZ 858/VZ rifles, not pistol, thats why I posted in Red Rifles.

In the FAQ there was a guy mentioned making an adapter to run AR grips for the CZ 858, is he still around? I did a quick search and couldnt find anything.

Heard nothing but good things about zahal but fab defence just isn't what I have in mind.

I assumed tango down and us palm were the same as the AK battle grip is the mirror image of the tango down option for AR's

What Canadian available part is out there for an adapter to run a standard AR grip?
